Here are the results of the 2010 Budget vote. We have 13 Yes votes and 11 No votes. I waited this long to post this info to make sure there was plenty of time to get all votes from the mail system. Thanks for those who voted.

I want verification of the voting results that were posted. In the minutes from the Budget Meeting, it was stated that '25 Homeowners represented by one or more people, including board members.'.
If there were 25 members present and every one voted, your math doesn't add up. 11+ 13 = 23.
When Jen asked for a show of hands who was for the budget, there were less then 5 who raised their hands in the affirmative.
Something doesn't add up.

This seems off for more than one reason...
OK...here's the thing....if there were 25 homeowners at the meeting...and on the "proxy" ballet ONLY one member of the household got ONE vote...how many homes were represented at the meeting...AND how many people from the same household voted at that meeting? I thoughtnit was as the "Proxy" vote stated one vote one household?
Marie,
The blog states 25 Homeowners represented by one or more people. This could mean that there were 35 people at the meeting. 25 homeowners and 10 who were with one of the 25 homeowners. If every one of the 'HOMEOWNERS' voted at the meeting, then there should have been 25 votes. This does not take into account any Absentee ballots that were delivered in the mail. Ed claims that they got all of the votes from the mail system. I know that there was a certified letter mailed to the Board a couple of weeks ago that was never picked up by the board and is being returned to the sender.
How do they explain that one?
Shane
I think you're going to need to show proof of the voting results here. This board has a bad history with full disclosure, so forgive us if we don't believe you. But that's just the bed you've made.
You just better hope you aren't lying to us...
The Frost household voted 'No' for the Budget.
And just to chime in FWIW - My "proxy" ballot was mailed well within the deadline to be counted by the 15th. The results were NOT reported on the 22nd like the "proxy" ballot stated. My one vote per household was a big fat NO BTW. A canvas of the votes seems in order for sure
Wayneg
Wayneg,
The vote is irrelevant at this time. The CC&R's clearly state that the Budget for the next Calendar year is to be voted on at the ANNUAL MEETING. The budget that was proposed at the Annual Meeting was rejected. Thus the budget from last year was to continue this year. your annual fees for the 2010 calendar year is $60.00. If anyone paid more then that, they have a refund coming to them. Just because the Board did not have the annual meeting as instructed in the CC&R's, it does not negate the vote on the proposed budget in that meeting. This last budget meeting was against the rules and just smoke and mirrors.

Either way the vote was turned down. 5 members voted yes at the meeting. 20 voted NO. In the absentee voting 13 voted yes and 11 NO. Add these up and you have 18 yes and 31 no. NO where near the needed results to pass the budget.
This Board really needs to start following the law. This vote wasn't needed because a change in the budget was shot down in the June Annual Meeting. Oh wait, if they had another meeting to approve the budget isn't that changing the CC&Rs. By admission by this Board it takes a unnanimous vote to change the CC&Rs. Sorry guys try again!

Curtis and Nichole,
If you look at the posting, Ed never said whether the Budget was disproved by the community or not. All he did was post some numbers saying that this was the results. Those who are at the meeting know that this can't be all of the votes. So the question that remains is? What was the total of all of the votes? This includes the Budget Meeting, Absentee Ballots and other forms at which votes were cast (I sent my vote of NO via email and stated that I would fill out a ballot if they requested one. They never did so I am assuming my vote was counted.)
So Ed, what was the final tally of all of the votes that were submitted, broken down by how they were submitted. Example: Budget Meeting (5 yes, 20 no) Absentee (13 yes, 11, no) Email (2 yes, 2 no).
